Where domain hunters compare notes

Any lawyer who can help me against Hostinger?

Last week, Hostinger sent me an email out of the blue saying my domain was cancelled and nearly caused a heart attack. Over 12 hrs later, they said it was a "technical error." The domain, they claim, was not cancelled or affected.

This is a business domain, and both their system and customer support messed up royally.

I'm looking for a lawyer who can tell me if I have a case against Hostinger, and how to pursue it if so. I'm not a European citizen, I don't live in Europe. However, Hostinger says their legal office is registered in Cyprus, that's why I thought I'll ask here.

Brief history of the emails exchanged:

First, Hostinger said, "Your domain [domain] has been canceled due to the following reason: other"

Then, Hostinger said, "[domain] was cancelled because it contains the reserved keyword “pin.” This means the domain registration was not completed; it is not a DNS or website configuration issue."

Then, Hostinger said, "Our specialist confirmed that [domain] is affected by a known technical issue, and there is no problem with the domain keyword."

Then, Hostinger said, "I’ve confirmed that [domain] was transferred out of Hostinger."

Then I received no update from Hostinger for 10 hours, despite mentioning repeatedly that this is a serious and extremely urgent issue. I could do nothing but wait, helpless. I only got an update because I sent a follow-up mail.

Hostinger's irresponsible actions have caused me tremendous distress. I feel there is a strong case for compensation and damages.

I understand the EU has severe laws around this sort of service failure.

I'd be very grateful if any lawyer here can guide me on how to proceed against them. TIA.
